PROGRAM COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITES

  1. Survey membership to find out topics and areas of interest for programs
  2. Begin meeting in July to develop the program topics for the year and begin to secure speakers
  3. In September, publish the program list for the year (Qualification for Chapter of Excellence)
  4. Continue to provide program information and updates to the membership throughout the year
  5. Prepare chapter brochure

CPS/CAP/EDUCATION

  1. Stimulate interest and encourage participation in the CPS & CAP programs
  2. Maintain the Chapter library
  3. Promote study groups and assist networking with other area study groups

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

  1. Seek ways to maintain and increase membership in the chapter
  2. Hold an annual membership drive (in September is a good way to start the year)
  3. Prepare new member folders and visitor folders and bring to meetings
  4. Encourage members to become involved in activities
  5. Survey members and non-members
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
  1. Greet members and guests at meetings and events
  2. Assist with organizing refreshments when needed

BYLAW COMMITTEE

  1. Maintain conformity in chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules with the International and Division Bylaws and Standing Rules
  2. Edit and/or correlate all proposed amendments to these Bylaws and Standing Rules and submit together with the committee’s recommendations and reasons to the board of directors
  3. Propose amendments to the Bylaws and Standing Rules
  4. Submit Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules and/or adopted amendments to the Division Bylaws and Standing Rules chair for review
  5. Assist the board of directors in preparing and submitting amendments to the Division and International Bylaws and Standing Rules chair for review

NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE

  1. Appointed by the board of directors
  2. Works independently from the board
  3. At least 30 days before the Chapter Annual Meeting they shall submit to the members a slate of one or more candidates for each office (as needed based on Term of Office)
  4. Nominations may also be made by e-mail by any chapter member provided that the qualifications of the nominee have been submitted to, and approved by, the Committee on Nominations 72 hours prior to the election
  5. Officers shall be elected by e-ballot and results announced at the Chapter Annual Meeting
